the above chart shows the ta rates for personal income over rmb1,000 per month. the ta rates are divided into 9 stages. the lowest rate is 5% for the income between 1,000 and 1,500, while the highest rate is 45% and the difference between each stage is 5%. therefore, the higher the income is, the more ta we should pay.
